Only a week left of classes.
Only 12 days til I’m home.
Today I have my recital. I wanted to wait and sing next week, but Christine said “You can handle it”. So I’m singing. But it’s not a regular recital… It is a split recital. Upperclassmen in Workman, underclassmen in Fowler… which means I have to sing twice within the same hour. Josh has to do it too… but trumpet. And he isn’t feeling well either and he isn’t happy about having to do it twice.
mEh. I just want to get all these papers and finals and recitals and juries out of the way so I can go home and clean my house and make money (or try to), and hang out with my family and friends. Oh and take summer classes… ew.
Ugh. I still don;t know if I want to work 2 jobs. I want to have a life.

This artist Stephen S. Sawyer does amazing Christian art that I love. I think my dad would like a lot of his stuff too. I am about to start that painting of the man looking up this week sometime. I think it will help me stay sane the next few weeks.
Here are some of the paintings I think my dad would like of his.

I got back from Carrie’s house the other night. We had a blast hanging around Annapolis and then going to the circus.
Last night a girl Jess and I know from swing asked us if we would be interested in sharing an on campus apartment with her and her roommate next year. It’s not too much more than a suite, especially if you take into account that you can get on a smaller meal plan since you have a kitchen. Jess is so excited because she loves cooking and there will be so much more space. I don’t think it will be too much different then a suite since Jess and I will still be in a seperate room than the other girls, but we’ll get to cook and feel like real adult college kids who buy grocceries and hopefully work a few nights a week as a waitredd (maybe thats just me).
On that note, I have no idea what I’m doing for work completely in May and June. I’m working at Sugar Hill no doubt, but I might ask to see if I can work some of the earlier shifts too to get more hours, but I dont have a car to get me to those shifts during May. I want to try to make a lot of money in May and June since I don’t know for sure whats happening in July.
I guess I’m just aggrivated cuz I’m poor and I need to make money, but I dont know how I’m going to make a lot this summer and I don’t know how much I can handle working next year while I’m at school.

I found out today that a paper I thought wasn’t due for another week is due Tuesday and I am going to Carrie’s this weekend. Looks like tonight is going to be a late one. I’m going to try to get most of it done before the weekend and then finish it up on Sunday and Monday.
I’ve been painting this picture of a grand piano with all these reflections on it from windows and It’s not done yet and all I want to do is paint. But I never have the time. I’m hoping that after this paper is over with I can finish up the painting.
I Got this great idea for a painting I want to do this summer. In my MUS250 class, Dr. Robinson told us about this Islamic childrens story that is basically… when God created man, he told the soul to go into the body, but it refused. So he had the angels play music. The soul had no ears and couldn’t hear the music so it went into the body so that it could have ears to hear it.
Though that story isn’t exactly theologically correct, I think that it is a great picture and I want to get a huge canvas and paint a very colorful picture of a man looking up smiling with all these great colors around him and his ears as if the soul had just heard music for the first time. I’m gonna need to buy a whole bunch more paints and a big canvas, but I think it will be a fun summer project type thing.
Anyways. I’m about to leave work and head to math… ew.

Not too much has been going on in the past few days. I’ve decided to start running around the neighborhood 3 times a week to relieve stress and get into good habits. It’s been really nice just to get outside because if I don’t set aside time to run, I am either in class, in a practice room, or in my room (maybe Tommy’s) studying.
I’m starting to work a lot more(or at least trying to) on my big research paper on the ethics of vegetarianism. It’s really interesting. I don’t think I would be vegetarian ( I love chicken and fish too much), but I understand where most vegetarians are coming from now. Americans consume far too much meat. four million steers are killed every hour. GROSS! It’s so unnecessisary! And unhealthy. Vegetarians run into a lof of issues with vitamin B12 deficiencys and Anemia, but not eating meat cuts your chances of getting diabetes or heart disease in HALF. So eating so much meat is crazy bad for you too.
Besides all that fun stuff I’m headed to Carries this weekend. We are gonna do some cooking and maybe go into Baltimore.
I’m at work right now and I am so looking forward to my nap after choir at 4. It’s been such a rainy day.
Only 20 days of classes left!
